Class Description: You are invited to attend a 2-day cooking class video shoot at Kushi’s Kitchen in Minneapolis, MN. We will be shooting 10 dishes. If you are not able to attend the Public Course Holistic Health and Natural Nutrition Course Macrobiotic Level II starting on October 13 November 17, 2010, at Kushi’s Kitchen, you can view the cooking section of the course. Lunch food tasting is included.

![]() | Learn to make to make a variety of quick fermented pickles and pressed salad. Pressed salad is made with fresh salad vegetables that are pressed with sea salt or fermented vinegars. When lightly pressed for a shorter time, it resembles raw salad. When pressed longer, up to 2 to 4 days, it begins to resemble pickles. Fermented vegetables have been used for thousands of years. It is a preservation method that has numerous health advantages. Fermented vegetables are rich in nutrients, fiber and digestion-enhancing enzymes. They also help the intestinal tract maintain a healthy balance of flora by increasing beneficial bacteria. |
