GABRIELE KUSHI, BFA, MEA, CHC, AADP the founder and director of Kushi’s Kitchen is an internationally recognized expert on healing with natural foods and macrobiotics, and the author/photographer of the best seller - “Embracing Menopause Naturally” (Square One Publishers 06). Kushi’s Kitchen is a green company, dedicated to excellence in teaching macrobiotics, holistic health, natural nutrition, and sustainable lifestyle solutions to support personal health, wellness homes and a peaceful and healthy world. Gabriele Kushi has a long rich history in the field of healing with natural foods and the integration of body, mind, and spirit. For 30+ years, she has successfully taught people from all over the world and all walks of life how to become healthier and more self-reliant by choosing health supportive foods that sustain conscious lifestyles. She incorporates a local, global, sustainable, spiritual, and scientific awareness and traveled to Europe, Canada, Japan, Morocco, and throughout the United States for her vision of a peaceful world. She provides a well-rounded unique wisdom approach in her teachings. Gabriele is a graduate of the Kushi Institute, USA, and The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in conjunction with Columbia University Teachers College. She is board certified by The American Association of Drugless Practitioner as a Holistic Health Practitioner, and The Macrobiotic Educators Association certifies her as a Macrobiotic Teacher and Counselor. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Summa Cum Laude degree in Photography and Native American Studies from the University of Minnesota. Gabriele is the 2009 recipient of the Aveline Kushi Award. Gabriele serves on the advisory board of Earth Save International and works with Native American healers and spiritual leaders worldwide. Her lifelong studies include traditional macrobiotics, integrative nutrition including 80 different diets, Rudolf Steiner's Biodynamic Agriculture, Fukuoka organic farming, holistic healing, Eastern and complementary medicine, Buddhism, Qigong, yin-yang philosophy, natural foods cooking and healing, the five-energy transformation theory, Oriental diagnosis, palm healing, shiatsu, Do-In self massage, indigenous medicine, Native American spirituality, art, and yoga.
